The Adopt a Cycle Campaign aims to combat menstrual poverty among girls and women in Mozambique and the Northeastern Sertão. According to UNICEF, 9 out of 10 girls miss school during their menstrual cycle.
Our goal is to collect 1,000 kits of aBIOsorbents, which are reusable pads, which will guarantee these girls up to 6 years of decent menstruation.
When you buy a kit, you also help the Passarela Alternativa project, which uses restorative justice to train and pay women who have left the prison system to produce the aBIOsorbents we purchase.
Here you buy a kit with 5 pads inside a bag, being: 2 pads with a natural touch and normal size, 1 pad with a dry touch and normal size and another with a natural touch.
The abiosorbents from this campaign are being sold at cost price. A noble purchase that enables dignity.
ABIOsorbents
They come in two sizes: normal, measuring approximately 22 cm, and night-time, measuring approximately 26 cm. They have two types of absorption: natural (cotton absorption) and dry (more absorbent fabric, where the touch goes down and does not come into contact with the skin).
Excellent absorption, dries quickly and has a minimum durability of 3 years and a maximum of 6 years.
When you buy an aBIOsorbent during the campaign, it will be delivered to the CaJu Project headquarters, where it will be given to women experiencing menstrual poverty.
